Where are you getting this information from?!?! Folks of EvoM, this is not true! In the USDM, both internally and externally, the engine/turbo combo in an MR is totally indistinguishable from the engine/turbo combo in an RS, GSR or SE. It's all the same!

Robevo RS...at 7:14pm you posted a link which totally disproves the information you just posted. Did you even follow your own link? Under the engineering specs it clearly lists each Evo trim as having...

TD05HR-16G6-10.5T
(Twin Scroll Turbine)
http://www.mitsubishicars.com/MMNA/j...en-us#specsTab

If there were some difference between the turbocharger on an MR and the turbo on an RS they would have listed it right there.

The MR had the quickest lap time but the RS was the quickest in the 1/4 mile. What magazine article are you thinking of?

page 2 on your link refers to a previous test
"
It's not so easy to simply ascribe the RS's acceleration advantage to just lower curb weight. Illogically, the MR, 10 pounds heavier than the VIII, nipped the Evo VIII to the same point (and, in retrospect, was quicker during our earlier quarter-mile runs as well). Likely, the MR's fractionally closer-ratio six-speed gear set helps (third's a scant three percent shorter, fourth offers a seven-percent advantage), "

Dude some guy stated the MR has diff turbo, right? he didn't say USDM....
i show him he is right ONLY THE RS HAS DIFF TURBO. DID I SAY USDM OR JDM?we talking about factory, not market place differences...
i only sad RS, why? Because the most RS sold, has different turbine wheel. That's it. and thanks for the link,i just posted above your post.So if he wants to check it out the usdm he can....
NOT JUST THE JDM RS or GT have that turbine, european ,australian has too. So the majority on the world got it with different turbine wheel. should i post that one too? i didn't want to get to this deep about the turbo.but since you want it, i need to.
USDM evos all is a same engine and tranny wise.WHY? cos they can sell it cheaper. Did i mentioned the RS everywhere else have the best tranny? Competition untill 4th gear then revised 5th... To learn more about evo here is the link for you:

Why would we be talking about EDM or JDM Evos? Even space, who hails from Australia, knew that. Yes I think we all get that different markets get different Evos and America generally gets the short end of the stick when it comes to things like AYC, SAYC, magnesium compressor wheels, BOV's, etc. This was never about anything outside of the USDM though.

Interesting,in that article they allude to the RS as having a "thin gauge steel trunklid"-learn something new every day..
