I have the Nisei LICP. I noticed slightly quicker spool, and boost hits a little harder. Probably a 5whp overall. For $150 shipped, definitely a nice mod.

let me ask this. lets say your on the stock turbo. you got that black j pipe that come's off the compressure housing to the licp.

now you put a 2.5 in licp on the car. that j pipe is still 1.5 inch's. what if you was to make that pipe also bigger??? anyone ever done this?.

The injen is fine, i have 2 friends with them... its just a cleaner setup getting the whole kit. some say you dont gain any power... but my friends cars seemed to pick up some from the whole package.

It expands to 2.5 sooner, less bends, doesn't use that stupid oem mesh that expands and leaks, it seriously adds whp.

I did and yes it's been done before and really doesn't bring much to the table. You'll still need the 1.5" to clear the stock bolt holes. You may gain a few inches of greater diameter at best. Not a difference maker no matter how you slice it.

The upper pipe is a waste and more often than not wont fit unless you also get a mini battery and they can be a headache as well.

The LICP is basically a bragging rights mod that some people feel made a difference probably because they had a boost leak to begin with. I recently pulled my AMS pipe off and I didn't notice a difference at all.

The rewards from the LICP are vapor ware. No one has been able to show a gain on the stock turbo in either spool or horsepower. They always say something like I could tell a difference but you cant see it on the dyno OOOOOOKKKKKAAAAAYYYYY!

The nicest pipe is the AMS unit but the EBAY one is an exact copy and that can be had for $80. Here is a link to the comparison that I did:

Always felt this but have backed off the argument because, well, you know how people get about defending their mods. I guess that just means your and my butt dynos need calibration since I can't "feel" my LICP either...

350whp with stock pipes

only have samco hoses, not actual pipes (just the hoses that connect the stock pipes, the stock ones are black i believe)

I am running the nisei licp aluminum I payed 200 for it picked up....my honest review I did notice better response and overall smoother boost....the engine sounds like its working its *** off now....and the turbo is louder....based on opinions I've read here it seems like the evo 8 owners running aftermarket licp didn't notice anything.....as for us 9 owners we all seem to of noticed gains.....:]
