Sorry guys, i think its totaled..

well.. first off let me say I always told my self i wasn’t going to be one of those evo kids that goes around a corner too fast and totals it... but last night around 1AM i was driving a few friends back to their cars and the roads were slippery and i hit a turn with some ****ty cooper tires and the car goes sideways and my front right headlight/fender went into a tree, then my car went sideways over the curb and my rear right side BBS and brembo where 10ft away from my car.

The important thing is that none of the passages and me were not seriously injured.

No airbag deployment, no police involved, no insurance involved(yet), and my car is sitting in the tow yard waiting until Monday for a estimate.

I know it totaled because it looks a lot worse than some of the other totaled evo ive seen on here...

So i guess my plan is to contact insurance and explain my situation, i have allstate im not sure but i dont think i have the new car replacement deal. I’ve never crashed a car let alone totaled it, so im not sure what im in for but i expect getting low 20's for the total and then moving on from there...

Any advice would be appreciated, Travis

--------------------------------------------------------------OK HERE IT IS... be prepared to cry...

I seems to me that the car will never be the same... so i think even if it isnt totaled... ill get it fixed and if it drives funny.. its sold.. then time for a 2jzGTE\

Make sure its considered totalled first. I believe the estimate has to be around 80% of the cars worth to be considered totalled. Not sure though. Good luck

It always seems worse when it first happends especially in a pretty bad accident, your first thoughts (after you make sure everybody is ok) are that the car must be totaled. But I've been in some pretty bad accidents and to my surprise and sometimes to my dismay the car wasn't declared totaled.

yeap you are correct, if the damge is more then 80% of what the car is worth the is a total loss...
sorry to hear about your accident man, ive been thru that sht, make sure if it is totalled you get all your parts back, and if they dont wanna give them back then get all your receipts (which sucks cause insurance will only cover $1000, unless you have a special package with them)

keep your headup

Sorry to hear about your car, glad no one got hurt.

from my point of view,
My car pushes over 425+ awhp . I know how to drive But it scares the **** out of me, to go fast on turns on dry roads, who knows what can happen. as far in rain? wet roads? i drive like gramma from grocieries store, because my azenis are no good for wet conditions.

Good luck.

I would say based on your description it probably isnt totaled. The car has to be in pretty bad shape for them to declare it a totaled vehicle. The bad part though is if it isn't declared total, you will probably have some frame damage, which means the car will never be the same again.

It really sux, but atleast you and your friends are alive. I've seen people have a similar accident and not walk away.

My brother inlaw jumped his 2001 s2000 and did 13,000 in damage to it and the insurance fixed it. I dont think his car was worth it, but they did it. I would be worried that after it was repaired it wouldnt feel the same left to right or the damage would be compromised in a future collision.

yeah guys, thanks for the replys. The car is most definetly totaled, roof bent, rear rim off, rear brembos off, rear brake disk broke in half, hood and front bumper done for, was leaking fluids from oilcooler, front winshield/passanger front windows broken, cannot shut any passenger doors, was sitting on the side skirt when it was being towed. I could imagine that the car has around 10k+ damage done to it.

The one thing that really made me think it was totaled was inside on the passenger floor the carpet was bulging up into the car (some part of the suspension)...

but, airbags never deployed

time will tell, but it doesnt look good. If it is totaled, i will only get low-mid 20's for it so i dont think im going to be able to buy another evo

why use cooper tires on a high performance car? AO46 yoko is the oem and simply the best tire for the vehicle.
