mudflaps and drag

mudflaps and drag

do mud flaps cause any significant amount of drag? i always wondered because when i look at mine they stick out a lil more than the tire, so i was just wondering. thanks

never lol i got them because i was sick of brake dust on my bumber and on the sides of the car, and i like the look. so offroading for me, on purpose at least

I imagine that they cause a significant amount of drag over 150mph, however that is a speed I hope you don't typically drive at. =)

why is that important? it will safe your car paint.
if you worry about drag ,take off those huge side mirrors and get a small one.

ya those side mirrors are huge i want some minis. im not usually driving over 100 just now and then, but i was just curious on the issue.
