EVO - Ipod users!
I just got a new Ipod and Im wondering if anyone has used this setup. Its rather cheap and looks great! I am wondering if it will work with the stock head unit and also how difficult it is to install.
Its made by Harmon Kardon.

I have a cable hardwired into a cheap-ish Alpine deck that connects directly to my ipod.
I use the deck to navigate the library. The cable feeds into the glove box, where my ipod stays.
While nifty looking, that piece looks like thief-bait.

. That was a good one! I gotcha, but honestly, my car is never left anywhere and its garage kept and not my daily driver. Im not worried the slightest bit of it getting stolen. How did you know what/how to hardwire the ipod?
I just had one of the monkeys at Best Buy do it up at the same time I was getting my alarm installed. I'm not good with electronics. If there's something to bolt up or screw on, I can usually handle it, but wires...meghhh.
You basically buy the headunit + cable that goes into back of head unit and connects to your ipod. I don't think hardwired is the correct term, but it sounded better than "kinda sorta plugs in to"

ur better off with the monster cable radio one...
thats the best i've heard and that one still sucks lol
find a headunit that has an aux output, most pioneers, panasonics and alpines have them so you can hardwire it and have cd quality.
Cheers!

they use radio signal. If you live in the middle of no where and dont have a lot of radio stations they work well, but if you live in a big city where you have a radio station every channel you're gonna have a hard time not getting interference.
If you dont want a headunit before you get that expensive one with a pain in the *** install...
Go to a radio shack, they usually have the best prices for the monster ones (60-70) give it a shot for a week. find a couple good radio stations and do your normal driving.
When i tried it the city my house was in i had to use a different station than everywhere else so it was a pain.
I have family in georgia and they all have them there and love them cause they live in the boon docks.

You would probably be able to use just the aux input for cd changer for the SSL stock headunit?

ive seen the harmon kardon peice before and its nice. but for not too much more you should step up to an alpine set-up like the ones mentioned. i have it and love it. not to mention the upgraded headunit has seemed to make the soundquality of the stock speakers improve (ssl package)... but then again i might just be hearing things
