vortec genrator flew off

my vortex generator flew off!!!!!
its a rex speed vg and the fitment was good. but as soon as i went on the freeway it just flew off as soon as i hit 90mph it flew off and almost took my atenna off with it
what the hell did i did wrong?? its easy as hell to install.
but the 3m tap had a problem sticking to the top of the car.
has anyone else have this problem

did you make sure and clean the surface prior to installing it?

Same thing happend with my factory VG. The tape on the drivers side wasn't sticking too well and allowing air to get under the leading edge. 110mph later and the left side was history.

I went OEM and no problems here , went 120mph, u probably didn't clean it the surface good enough.

Like they say, the VG helps downforce over 100 MPH. I guess in this case it helped by...reducing the weight of the car!

that really sucked..... i dont have a VG yet so cant help.. but just curious...
did u stop and pick it up after it flew off?

that happen to me too just go to home depot they have that 3m tape and tape the hole bottom of your vortec and just slap it on that what i did and then live it on the sun for log time i did 160 nothing happen to it good luck

Was it installed at night? High humidity may have cause the double sided tape not to stick..

dont have any problem on my rexspeed VG. yeah probably it didn't stick that much or you need more 3m tape.

i did my on sunny day just did't have enough tape i guess
