Nope. It's easier to not read the posts and just skip to the end. People aren't realizing that the LS1 is an aluminum motor... the 4G63 is an iron block. Which is heavier, aluminum or iron?
That's why a 2.0 liter iron block is only a little lighter than a 5.7 liter aluminum block. FYI, a 5.7 liter LS1 engine is 200 lbs lighter than a 3.6 liter BMW M3 (S52) engine.

gigantic transmission and the enlarged radiator required to cool the horsepower. figure you'll have to run sans ac cuz the motor is too big. figure you'll have to make or borrow another oil pan cuz the subframe is in the wrong place. figure you're sans a transfer case because you're less 2 driving wheels. figure you need more axle strenth and more driveshaft strength.
i'll take two.
seriously though i love ls1 swaps, i wanted to do one in a miata... but miatas come with solid rear rotors with no hope in hell for otherwise. then i found the jimlab subframe for doin' it in a 3rd gen rx7...
now in an evo... this is just insane.... i'd wanna do it but... it's just not as magical as the other swaps.
