List of mods before I order (Comments Plz)

I am going to order some parts but I want to make sure these parts are going to be a good choice.

Please comment on the parts from personal experience or some sort of knowledge.

Walbro Fuel pump
Hallman RX MBC
AMS Fuel Rail
AMS 680cc Injectors
RMR Full IC piping (im guessing it will still fit the IX)
AMS Upgrade or Perrin FMIC (I need to retain my crash bar)
Samco Radiator Hose Kit
Exedy Single Plate Cerametallic Clutch
OEM Flywheel

I am needing to order some type of engine managment.

I was looking at the MAFT-Pro to a E-mail Flash until I could get time to custom tune it but I just cannot make up my mind ( If you guys could help me choose the right one I would appreciate it)

Thank you for your time, and please comment soon so I can get some stuff ordered.

Thanks =D

Jonathan.

just get the buschur or ams ic piping with the mini battery , shorter piping is better, also idk why you're getting injectors and a fuel rail if i was you ill save that money and buy a meth kit, thats gonna net you the most power

agreed, unless youre planning something big soon, im not seeing any use for injectors and fuel rail.

I wouldnt upgrade the clutch until necessary. The stock clutch can hold the power you would make, unless you like to launch.

also what they said above it true, dont waste your time yet on injectors and fuel rail

Just a heads up

The RMR kit will not fit on the IX. I had that kit on my VIII and the licp will not fit cause of the bigger housing on the turbo. RMR licp comes with there own outlet pipe for the turbo. They were supposed to be making an outlet pipe for the IX but I got impatient and went with the nesei licp

Are you on the stock turbo? Why the bigger injectors and rail? I wouldn't do a fmic at this time for where you are in mods. But if you are go with the AMS over the perrin

This is just a suggestion but i would get the walbro fuel pump, MBC, ETS FMIC kit, and TBE. I would leave out injectors and fuel rail until you get a bigger turbo. I would not install these until the car gets tuned. If you want to get a clutch, get a Exedy twin or Cusco twin, so you will not have to buy clutch twice when you get more mods. Just my .02 .

I agree that the fuel rail, injectors , radiator hose and clutch are a waist at this time. In my opinion, a performance car must do 3 things well, accelerate very quickly, handle very well, and stop quickly, these are essential to me, that's why I bought the Evo. I highly recommend that you think about your short term & long term goals for your car, then begin accomplishing it. that way everything will work together. Remember, if you make it go faster, you will be pushing your stock suspension & brakes harder, therefore requiring that you upgrade them too.

So my Recommendation is TBE, MBC, FP and a high quality tuning by a professional. Add SS brake lines and upgrade to Motul 600, upgrade your pads( when your stock ones don't stop quickly enough for you, or wear out) to PF97, or Stoptech XP10 & 12's. Then contact robi @ : http://robispec.com/main.html
to have your suspension professionally tuned.
That's what I did, and my car is a blast to drive, kicks sport bikes, Ferrari's, porches & vette's butts all day long, in the twisties & 1/4 mile!

Walbro Fuel pump - Very good
Hallman RX MBC - Excellent, but the Forge UNOS is one step better, because it has a ratcheting knob
AMS Fuel Rail - absolutely no use for this. Why is it on your list?
AMS 680cc Injectors - same as the fuel rail
RMR Full IC piping (im guessing it will still fit the IX) - don't assume and don't bother with it anyway. You don't need IC piping, but if you want it, then just get AMS or Buschur
AMS Upgrade or Perrin FMIC - stick with AMS, no need to patronize Perrin who doesn't even participate in the Evo community
Samco Radiator Hose Kit - i have this and recommend it
Exedy Single Plate Cerametallic Clutch - Hyper Single? Not bad. I suggest the Exedy Twin HD cerametallic, though
OEM Flywheel - Exedy clutches come with a chromoly flywheel. I dont' recommend trying to reuse your stocker or even a replacement stocker. Just use what comes with the Exedy

Above most of these mods, you should be getting GSC S1 cams.

You don't need engine management either. Not sure why that's such a dilemma. Just get a custom flash - no need for a MAF-T Pro or anything else of that nature. Just use EcuFlash, and if you don't have an expert Evo tuner in your area, go with a customized email tune, but be sure to get the logging software and equipment you need in order to allow the tuner to customize it virtually.

Here's a good way to make more power than with your list of mods.

1. Fuel pump
2. Camshafts
3. Tune
4. Boost contoller. Why do people go manual? Get the Blitz SBC ID v3. Boost, peak/hold, and a boost controller all in one package.
5. Meth

With that you'll be pushing much more power than you would with the mods you have listed.

No need for an intercooler or piping, nor a fuel rail nor injectors.

A tune with Ecuflash is simple and effective.

Because manual is way cheaper, way simpler, and works beautifully. Pretty simple.

Warrtalon,
what's the benefit of the Samco radiator hose over the stock one, I'm interested, seeing how you road race your car like me.

Greater strength to avoid any bursting, and it can withstand underhood pressures better.

It's not a critical mod, though.
