Alarm / Security System Help

I bought a car that had a ghetto rigged security system on it and I am trying to remove it and return it to stock. Does anyone have a wiring diagram or a how to for wiring up the stock system? I just want the locks working again with the key fob. If no one even has these things, could you get me started in the right direction by telling me where the stock alarm system is located in the car? I have the dash out right now so it would be easy access if it is there. Thanks in advance!

Scott

The factory service manual should have the wiring diagram.

Unfortunately, the service manual was not in the car when I bought it. Any idea where the keyless entry module is located?

Have you tried looking on BT for an FSM? I think if you search on EVO9US_FSM at mininova.org, you'll find one.

Just reprogram the Key FOB.. it should work unless they completely hacked the box up! An aftermarket alarm has a factory disarm pulse to a wire, bit it should not disable the factory key FOB.

Are you sure the factory key fob didn't just run out of batteries?

I'm surprised that an 06 should have a ghetto security system. If you bought it used and you don't have the complete set of keys=2 keys, just go to the dealer so they can reprogram your ECU. Make sure you bring your registration to confirm that you are the rightful owner! can you show pics of your "new" evo?

Can you quickly describe how to reprogram the stock key fob?

Emm do a quick search on it, and you'll find it.

As far as I can remember you short 2 pins... or if you have ANY OBDII plug just plug it in. Then turn your key to the "on" but not start position (ie to turn on the radio) and then hit the hazard button 5 times, then you click the lock/unlock button once on each key FOB.
