30k service: change ACD fluid?
30k service: change ACD fluid?
for the 30k service i've done rear diff, trans and transfer case. do you also need to change the ACD fluid? i know it uses ATF so it's a distinct thing to change it but is it part of the 30k service? if so is there a how-to somewhere? thanks.
just check the user manual. I don't remember off the top of my head, but I'd guess, ACD fluid is one of those things you just check to make sure it isn't low. I don't think changing it is a regulated necessity. Again, check the manual to make sure. Btw, at the risk of sounding paranoid, you did use a different fluid for the rear diff + tran case than the fluid you put in the tranny right? And hopefully it was OEM fluids?!
i'm pretty sure that's what it says in the manual as well. all fluids are OEM and in the right places
my brother's shop is actually doing it as i don't have time and they did all of the other stuff but he was looking in their parts system and it listed ATF under the ACD which he thought was strange because nothing they drained out was ATF so i wanted to check with the experts to make sure
