Question Autometer EVO Triple Upper Console Pod??? anyone got one? how is it?

I noticed on lancershop in the gauge pod section they have an autometer triple gauge console piece (52mm) for the stock radio location for like 30 bucks. Has anyone tried this piece in lieu of the gruppe-s piece? How does it fit?

i have this gauge pod. i have an aem truboost, wideband, and voltmeter gauge. my brother has the 60mm one with defi guages.

fitment is great and its held down pretty tight. no movement. quality seems good too.

only bad thing is that the aem gauges seem to stick out a bit due to the size of the screw on ring that holds down the face plate. at first, if i held the shifter a certain way and shifted into 3rd or 5th, i would tap the gauges with my knuckles. i only did that a few times for the first week, now i just pay attention to how i hold the shifter.

edit: sorry i was referring to why i moved from the upper to lower. i am going back to upper now.

I have this as well.. I can post a picture or two for you. I am probably 80% content with it, Car had Stewart Warner gauges, and the issue I have is the gauge bezel keeps the gauge from fitting in 100% all the way in. completely unnoticable from the driver's seat, but it is noticable from passenger seat, or looking in through windsheild. I would have expected better fit/finish from Autometer's name. Installation was simple (though their 'template' wasn't right) Gauges stay in fine as well.

I am not sure if I'd go with the gruppe one or not, $30 vs their $70+.. not into paying big money for things like that.

If I had it to do over, I think I'd consider this:

i had the autometer one first and it just looked weird and not flush. its a cheap setup and held the gauges fine and was just odd looking, and now that i think about it my gauges didnt sit in all the way either. i then switched to the gruppe-s and its flush and looks great and gauges in fully. I figure yea 70 is more than 30 but little annoying things like the gauges not seating properly in the autometer annoy me, has to be done and look right for me to be satisfied.

Can't speak for the upper mount, but the lower mount looks good from the front but has a small gap on the passenger side in the back.
