How accurate is your HKS Type-1 Turbo Timer?

How accurate do you think the extra features are? the speedo, tach, and 0-60 functions seem to be pretty accurate, but i dunno about the 1/4 mile and 60' times. anybody else tried these out to see how close they are?

I believe that turbo timers should be used for only 1 thing, to cool off our turbos and nothing more. Anything else is just "guesstimates".

Well it really depends on how accurate your odometer is. Since it takes the distance straight from that. So as long as you are running stock size wheels and tires or something the same diameter then it should be pretty accurate. But it is by no means AS accurate as the thousands of dollars worth of timing equipment at the track.

I've done quite a few 1/4 mile runs with mine. My best run was a 12.71 at 109mph. They have all been really close. Seems about right with my 286whp on a Dyno Dynamics dyno. My best 0-60 was 3.9s! Considering I've never been to a track, it's a fun toy.

someone needs to go to the track and run there with the turbo timer at the same time. That is for sure the only way to tell how accurate it is.

well i know for sure mine isn't accurate. it said i ran the 1/4 mile in 11.3. the speedo also goes off by 1-5mph once i get over 85-90mph. the higher the speed goes, the worse it gets. when i first got it, the speedo was perfectly accurate with the one in the car. i dunno when or why, but it just went off. that's probably why the 1/4 mile timer is so far off. the 0-60 timer is accurate. anything under 80mph looks good. i dunno about the 60ft timer though.
