If someone doesn't post the answer by later tonight or early tomorrow I can check the shop manual and will post them size and torque specs. I'm at work right now, otherwise I would check the manual right away.

It should be in there section 33. There is one diagram that shows all the bolts and torque specs. I think there is also a section about removing/installing the strut tower brace. That should also have the specs. If you can't find it, I'll try to look it up tonight or tomorrow for you. But, if I do it tonight it will likely be when I'm hammered so who knows what I'll post...

Just took a look. It's section 42-12 in the 2006 service manual.

Torque is 32 +/- 4 ft-lbs
Size is 14mm

I guess no DSMrs read this board anymore...

Mitsu uses 4 bolts on 99% of the car:

10mm head 6mm 1.00mm pitch
12mm head 8mm 1.25mm pitch
14mm head 10mm 1.25mm pitch
17mm head 12mm 1.25mm pitch

There are exceptions but that's the general rule. I'd bet a blown 14B that your bolt is 14mm head 10mm 1.25mm pitch. I have helicoils in all 4 sizes...
