Even when connected to another battery via jumpstarting?

Even if the battery is bad, and you jump start it, it will still start.

Well, I have a brand new oem starter coming in tommorow from my local shop...

The starter has good power, with no power loss from the battery to the cable on the starter.

The battery has to be good as even when jump started it does not start.

Hopefully the old starter has a bad spot on it, which would make the most sense and seems to be the case.

Did this all start after the mini battery install? I would look there before I thought the battery install mysteriously put a dead spot in the starter. my 2c. Keep us posted.

Read this thread and the one 2 posts up, the only thing is that I don't run a mini battery. I have the stock one still. I read in the thread above that someone mentions the Starter can be installed wrong? How is that?

Recently I installed my clutch. Just yesterday I finally got everything back together. I fired the car up and it started just fine. I did however get a CEL after about 5 minutes of sitting in the garage while running but didnt get to see what the code was. I drove around town for a while and doing some shopping and stopping by my buddies house. Everything was fine. I disconnected the battery last night to reset the code to see if it will pop up again today on the way to my friends workplace where I can use a OBD2 Scanner. Well, I woke up and remembered I had to adjust my clutch pedal first since it was engaging way to late from a stop. So I adjust the pedal and then try to start it up to go around the block. Everything Powers but nothing cranks. You hear the humm sound and then nothing else. I did get it to start once but nothing else after that. I let the car sit in the on position for maybe 10 mins and then cranked and turned on like normal. Let it run for 5 mins then couldn't start it anymore.

Anyone know what's wrong? Is it the Starter?

/\ weird....my problem was the fuse that i put in line with the battery terminal as I removed the stock terminal and evidently 4 gauge wasnt big enough to carry the current...

Cars starts perfectly now.

Its always something dumb...
