trade in value

just wondering, what trade-in figures have you guys and girls been getting at the dealers? the dealers almost always never follow kbb that you print off and show them, so what are some real numbers. could you post what you were trying to trade it in for, exm. evo for tundra, or evo for g35coupe, or evo for m3......evo 8 for evo 9, evo for sti...i'm sure we've all driven past a dealership and wondered, hmm how much could i get for my evo. thanks

i know this isnt what u wanted to hear, but sell the car yourself, it will save you thousands for just a little effort to sell it

Likewise, with pretty much any car, it's the same fact.

Trade in on most cars suck, as the mileage gets higher it drops even more.

CarMax offered me $24,000 for my 2003 E46 M3 vert with 56k miles on it ; I laughed at their "offer", then went and sold it myself the next week on Ebay for $30,000...

seriously, wash and vacuum the car, take some pics, and throw it up on Ebay, Cars.com, or Autotrader. Don't forget about the classified section here on EvoM...

My buddy just sold (not traded in) his 2003 Evo VIII GSR, with 35,000 miles on it. Fairly clean, stock but for catback and intake. The dealer paid him $19,000 for it.

sell it urself.. unless u live in a state like me (neb) that it costs a butt load to plate ur car.. then trading it in might be the way to go.. that way u dont have to pay so much to plate ur car.. i bought my evo for 27000.. and to plate it is going to be 2grand.. thats crazy!
