one of my buddies has an sti...and i owned a mazda 6 v6 and...he always tried to get me to buy an sti etc...and he let me drive it because i was starting to look at them at the local dealerships....anddd drive his around town one night...jumped all over it...wasnt too impressed...then my father actually was purchasing a hyundai azera and my mother acctually told me to come and look at the evo's there...and then i test drove and evo ix and well the driving experience was just that much better then the sti. in every aspect to me.

After seeing fast'n furious I went and bought an evo the next day.......

J/K........

here's my true story,
I never like the look of the evo or sti...to me a sportcar should only be a two seater but when I thought about settling down w/ my girl and having kids I went and test drove both the STI and EVO IX MR.
Looks...I prefer the evo. The hood scoop on the STI make itself look cartoony.
Test drive... I was impressed by the better and quicker steering of the evo, the handling was abit better on the evo too.
So I took the evo home.

The salesman at the subaru dealership said "Personally, I would get the evo before the STi."

i love my 05 evo 8 and i wouldnt trade it for an sti, however, my brother owns a sti and i find myself driving it alot...i think the interior kicks the evo interior's ***...also, its an 07 sti, and its got a lot of cool technology and features, such as being able to choose where your redline is with a turn of a switch, also you can control how much power goes to the front/back wheels....i would take either car, they are both amazing and fun to drive...plus i live close to ams and grd, so me and my bro have alot of fun building up are cars

I like the body type better than the sti and mod friendly.

i like the sound of the boxer engines...but for some reason i just leaned more into evo's...maybe it depends on the personality? or just different taste i guess.

ive always liked the sti so i went to test drive one and the guy at the subaru dealership was a huge D*ck and he said i had to give a $1000 refundable deposit to test drive it. so i didnt feel like it and then a few days later i went to a dealer and test drove an evo 8 and i loved it so i didnt even bother with the sti.

A guy at the bar last night argued for 45 mins about how an STI > EVO blah blah blah.. turns out he doesn't even own one, or has ever driven one, lols.
