Turning off the ACC chime???

Is it possible to turn off the ACC chime? The chime I speak of is the annoying beeping sound the car makes when the ignition is on the ACC position, and there is a door open. I'd love to disable it if anyone knows how...

You could try unplugging the door open senor on the drivers door. I did that on my WRX and it fixed the problem. Only thing was that the interior lights will not come on from opening that door.

I did mine by accident one day. If you remove the steering column cover and look at your key fob. There is a sensor that when you put your key in while your door is open, it separates t little metal tab and then it makes that annoying sound. I accidentally broke it off one day and just put it back with electrical tape and a zip tie. Pretty ghetto i know. But now i can unlock and lock my car with my key in the ignition while my car is running. Plus i never hear that annoying noise anymore. Lights come on when i click my clicker. Everything is fine. No problems. If you do it wrong you will have that noise all the time even while your keys are out and the door is open.
