The mitsubishi case manager assigned to my case was wonderful to work with on this request. However, misinformation was given to me in the following forum thread. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...uction+numbers

the following information took weeks for the case manager to compile. The case manager did not have data regarding color production numbers but did give me the following data:

0358 - evolution ix rs
3667 - evolution ix (includes se editions)
4176 - evolution ix mr
8201 - total exported evolution ix to north america (usa)

i asked if this information could be published publicly. The case manager responded “yes” to my question. I then requested an official mitsubishi document with this data. Unfortunately, the case manager responded “no” to the request

i’m sure many people will question this information. For those needing proof, please call mitsubishi customer care for the united states at 1-888-648-7820 and be sure to request a service request number.

I was hoping to have a lower mr export number but at the end of the day, i could careless if 100,000 or 4176 mr were export to the untied states, i still love this car

the evolution ix will be used as performance benchmark for years to come…
nice info man

I tried calling the customer service number in February 2010 to get 03, 04 and 05 production and they never got back to me. Maybe I asked for too much information, I don't know. I don't think this number is the right avenue to actual production numbers, this a general Mitsubishi Customer service helpline.

I would think the best avenue is if you could contact someone who work for Mitsubishi NA, they might be able to find the right contact for the information. Perhaps even some on this website work for Mitsubishi. Another avenue would be is if a Auto Magazine was contact them asking for the info. I don't have the time for it, but I would suggest some one head up looking for this info before it get too old and is no longer available. IMO the old the car get the less available this info will be.

That number is not the final production numbers. I am guessing those numbers are the number of Evo's sold as of that date. (Oct 2007) No else really seem to pick that in Feb of this year someone else called found the IX numbers different. I wonder is the numbers will change when Southcoast sells the reaming IX MR they have in stock.

While I know this is random post, I can verify this guy actually did call Mitsubishi, because I happen to call them the same day trying to get Evo VIII production numbers and the woman on the phone told me that some else had called looking for 2006 numbers.

Agreed. As an idea, perhaps some representing this forum in an official capacity could make the inquiries.

I"m surprised that they actually imported more of the MR models compare to the GSRs. I do wonder how many MR SEs are out there.
