Ebay Evo Project
Wow, this should be interesting. I think that it would be really really interesting to see how the car performs if you buy parts identical to brand name parts and then were able to do a side by side and see how things match up. Then finally this whole eBay thing can come to a rest....
I am tired of the Ebay threads…..
I am building an Ebay Evo…..
Most parts will be sourced through ebay
Some will be name brand and some will not
I will post update pics and project costs and breakdowns
We will see how she performs
Background: I have been tuning vehicles for 6 years. My project vehicles have included awd talons, 240sxs ka and sr, ls1 and lt1 camaros, v8 s10s,1.8t vws, is300 2jz's, omni glhs and now the evo. (owned and tuned all listed) I have been around the block and know some of these parts work so put your flamethrowers in your closet and lets do this thing.

their i/c piping, fake ams i/c, cheap ebay exhaust, some booboo mbc on there
Just try not to make your car commit suicide
^hahaha. Granted, a pipe is a pipe, but the quality of the craftsmanship is what I worry about. Slave labor built-crap welded-inferior metaled parts from china don't really appeal to me though.
I love my car--and one of the reasons I use AMS mostly is because I want parts that I know will survive the life of the car. It's not just a HP thing because I know that I might be able to make just as much if not more in some cases with a different combination, but it's not worth the risk of damage to the car due to a bad choice in brand/non-brand.
I wish you luck with the car, and look forward to seeing the results. I've spent enough to pay off half the loan already...everytime I look at the records I shake my head and wonder why I'm so financially stupid. Then I drive the car...and forget all about it.

I would stay away from ebay suspension parts. I bought an ebay lower arm bar from a company on ebay and when I got it, I thought it was a sick joke. The tubing on the bar was so thin I could easily bend it an any degree, direction, ect. I ended up throwing it away.
heres a direct link to that XS-Power site. They got really cheap stuff-
is it any good? Manifold doesnt look to bad what do you guys think?
