some guys down here in CO bought some ebay suspension items and they said the craftmanship was not too shady.. worked well for them, I wouldn't mind ebay items for certain things only though.

Go ask any of the popular honda boards what happens with 99% of the chinese turbos or cams. The cams like to eat the heads and the turbo's never usually last more than 500 miles. Since you have the ability to tune you might even try one of their intake pipes, but the filter and adapter I would get from some place reputable. I think it was Buschur that did the review on the ebay fmic's, so we saw how well those failed.

u didnt read the test....

a street core only lost 12whp on a 650whp car.... what were u expecting....

i picked up 20-22whp with my setup.. meth+high boost... $130

can you say bang for the buck twice?

sure maybe something else makes 1whp more.... then they can market it as more hp than the ebay.... which i dont think is true anyway...

do u want to pay 400-500 MORE dollars for 1whp more?

I think people consider the whole ebay thing wrong value vs power

How can you guys bash for buying HKS cams? If he buys them on E-bay they are E-bay parts. If you go by the brand name thing then OBX should not be allowed as I see them in tuner mags.

well away i see this thread going... This is not an" E-bay project", this is :
who can build the cheapest evo .
Soon as you touched the used parts , dont matter its from e-bay anymore.
Because the only reason you get it ,thats is the cheap price. So the main reason not to prove the " e-bay brands" vs others. So the thread is fake.

Keep us posted.i have always laughed at people who make fun of others for getting a deal that works..I would personally not buy internals,turbos,etc..But general boltons..Youre damn right..Ok,so im not jocking the biggest shop who has the fastest car..or getting the HKS sticker that came with my exhaust..But,if i can put down decent numbers for half the price..You would be a fool not to..In my oppinion..Ebay FTMFW..Justin

He is tired of ebay threads and yet hes been a member for all of 2 months, and I havent seen an ebay thread in awhile.

First and foremost try an ebay turbo kit (yea the $200 turbo) and a cheap FMIC

but as soon as you got the brand name ,then no more an e-bay evo , just a used parts one. Don't be confused between only e-bay stuff or the used HKS from e-bay...
I completely agree with this statement. Buy everything you can that is true eBay stuff like the AMS copy intercooler and piping, and the eBay TBE that everyone argues about. Of course you will have to buy a name brand turbo and cams, etc. Just buy as much eBay stuff as you can or else people will say it isn't a eBay Evo. I would start with the things that people argue about the most like the intercooler, piping, and exhaust.
Pretty much everything on my car is from ebay and in my sig it will show you don't have to spend a lot of money to go fast or get quality. Here comes the can of worms.
From Ebay:
XS power TBE $240.00 shipped to the door
HKS style intake $95.00 shipped to the door
Tune with ECUFLASH $ FREE FREE

Being able to run a 11.83@115mph in Sac, Ca (PRICELESS) Powered by Ebay will be my new sticker for windshield!!!!!!
Just kidding I would never do that to my EVO!@!!!
You already did.
