40a starter relay fuse??

40a starter relay fuse??

hey guys where in the heck do i find that dam 40a fuse for the starter cause im pretty sure mine went bad from reading previous threads. i looked all over the internet and cant find it. any suggestions on where to look??? when i try to start the car, i hear a click and the fan turns on. i could push start it and it has no problems. i even tried taking out my other fuses to find one that fits it, but its the only one that had a wierd prong set up. help a brother out.

fuse dont work

hey i just got a new fuse for it but it dont work. i still have the same problem. when i start the car all i hear is the fan turn on. do you guys know what it could be?? is there another fuse or do you think i need a new starter??

You will most likely need a new starter. Alot of the time when starters go out it is due to the brushes inside the motor moving around. You can tap the motor with a hammer (lightly) and see if it starts. This works like 80% of the time. You can also check for 12v start signal by disconnecting the one-wire connector on the pull-out winding on the starter and use a test light or ohmmeter while someone holds the key on start. If you have got power, then you need an new starter or you can get yours rebuilt for 1/5 of the price of a new one. Good Luck
