Shipping Transmission

Hello all. About to send my transmission/transfercase out to Shep for some work. My question is what kind of boxes did you guys use to ship? I just went to Home Depot and Staples to find a cardboard box with no luck. Any advice on where I can get one, and what sizing would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I think you are gonna have to ship the transmission in a wooden crate.A box would probably not be strong enough due to the transmission's being so heavy.

From the Shep web site:

The quickest way to ship your transmission is to pick up a Rubbermaid, Sterilite, Pro Tuff, Smart bin or a large TV box from places like WAL-Mart, Lowes,Home Depot or Uhaul. Use thick cardboard or Styrofoam to keep if from moving around.

Sure you aren't thinking of TRE? I just sent my rear diff to them for modding, and they (TRE) offer that. No mention of that on Shep's web site.

EDIT: Oops - check that: (from Shep's web site) We charge a flat $80 for return shipping and we can send out a box for a small fee.
