TBE Recommendations

I'm getting a new TBE for the RS. I'm going to pick up a Greddy Evo 2 Cat-Back, and purchase a new downpipe and resonated test-pipe.

For the DP and TP I was thinking of using Megan Racing products (value). Does anyone have any input about these components. I'm looking for a stealth sounding set-up, and I don't want to spend a fortune on a DP/TP.

**Please don't tell me to search. I have, and if you flame you will only be bumping the thread.**

I have the mr downpipe. Other than the occasional rattle due to the dp touching the underbrace, it is fine. Best bang for the buck I believe.

Looking for a quiet TBE, I don't think AMS would qualify.

What??? It has a resonator, and is supposed to be one of the quieter Cat-Backs on the market.

I run a DC Downpipe (cat delete) with the Greddy Evo 2 catback with HKS 272's and Full Race Manifold. My car is very quiet for idle (you can still hear the cam) and cruising and VERY loud at WOT. I needed something that i wouldn't want to kill my self with noise on the parkway and this setup worked perfectly for me. I have been pulled over for no front plate with no hassle for the exhaust 3 times. As for the catback being a restriction, i dyno'd 380+ whp and 400+ TQ, stock 8 turbo, pump and meth, so its still able to put up good numbers.

I have evo2 exhaust and it is QUIET. I can attest to that.
I have injen downpipe and megan cat delete. It is very very quiet until about 5k rpm...then it roars which is exactly the way I want. On the city, it has a bit nice "a bit louder then stock" sound, but it is not bad at all.
If you want the stealth look, evo 2 is very nice.
Only thing that bothers me is that other exhaust tends to respond better with mods. I assume because it has resonator and not COMPLETELY straight(though is is very close)
+1 on your set up

edit and I have 9 SE with S1 cams and I got 350whp and 340tq, fyi

Can this be corrected with spacers on the crossmember, or will this always be an issue with the Megan Racing Dwonpipe?

I have a megan racing dp and catback. i like it and the price was good. Got it from ETS. the sound is nice and mean, no rice sound with megan. only the occassional rattle like evohung said. By the way EVOHUNG did you figure out where the noise is coming from? I sent you a pm check it out.
