I may have to get my transmission replaced even though I just bought it (synchros are going from the previous owner), and the mechanic at the dealer told me that if the transmission warranty goes through, he would be willing to put on an aftermarket clutch and flywheel if I bring it in. He said that while he is in there, he might as well add something more robust.

But I could also believe that if the transmission was going out and I had an aftermarket clutch on there to start with, he might have a harder time justifying a new tranny under warranty when it could have possibly been the clutch that had caused the problem.
