ive had the same prob for about 5 months(only 2 driving) parked it in the garage...came out the next morning turned it on and the SRS light stayed on ever since...i see no reason to clear it out unless the airbags really dont work, but ive never heard of them not working even if the light is on

 

If the airbag portion of the SRS system is compromised, the airbags WON'T go off.

did u try taking it to the dealer? are u still under warranty?

 

Mine came on for no reason, I have an '06. I think she's out of warranty, so I am not spending money like that man, came on after the 3 year mark, how convenient..... PM me if you have a quick fix....

 

Check your fuses. I had one come on when I removed the fuse for the back up lights. It went off when I replaced the fuse.
