what are the differences between the 03 and 04 evo 8. doesnt the 04 have the active yaw rear differential and the 03 doesnt or am i wrong and they both have it. And are there any real changes from the 04 to the 03? Thanks again guys!!

I know this has been up here many times before but i cant remember nor can i find the thread, its hard to search for it without everything else under the sun coming up as well.

 

ACD with '04s. Intercooler (FMIC) sprayer deleted - '03 had it. Intro' of RS which came with the helical front differential that became standard on all '05 Evos. No engine spec changes between the two. In '04, the color yellow was deleted from the paint options, I think. Sure about the rest of it.

Oh, yeah. The sun, sound, leather package was introduced in '04, too. However, some '03s do have sunroofs, but without the leather seating and upgraded sound system. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

 

Active Yaw??? No USDM Evo has that. There are no changes from 03 to 04 other than the special RS version in 04. Changes began in 05...

Most of what Evo X Owner-2-B said was off by a year - those changes happened in 05.

03's are the only ones that had the intercooler spayer. 05's have the 10.5 hotside and thats about it

 

Again, that was in 05...why are people suddenly confusing this? 03/04s are the same. 05 was the first year of big changes.

 

What's going on here? 05s got ACD, FLSD, the 10.5, and improved maps in the ECU. The ACD reservoir is what replaced the intercooler sprayer...

 

04 doesn't have ACD or 10.5 hotside. Only main difference is the addition of the RS model.

I stand corrected. Pretty obvious that I entered the Evo scene in '05.

I didnt realize the 04's had the intercooler sprayer. I am still trying to figure out what FLSD is?

 

If you know all that, then why did you only mention the 10.5? Also, if you know all that, then why did you post the quote below?
