Failed 1st oil change
Seriously people. Copper is ok to use a couple of times, but its $.35c and some dealers even give it to you with the filter! if you cant get it off with your finger just put a box cutter behind it, I promise it will come off. I hope I never have to buy a car from any of you hacks!
You are basically defeating the purpose of using one. You might as well just take it off....

you guys are funny...there's no need to change the washer as long as it's not leaking around the plug...if you notice an oil drip where you park ur evo then it might be time to change it....as long as it's working there is no need to change it out
anyways if that guy didn't change his oil until 33k miles or so...his engine is toast!

Sorry for bringing this thread back... i know how everyone hates it
but i .... CHANGED MY OIL!! SUCCESSFULLY!!!
AND I GOT ONTO THE RHINO RAMP!!!
I used a pipe and bought an oil filter wrench and it worked great
The only issue i had was taking the old washer off.
That is all... and thank you for all the advice and other comments....
PS: I didnt even have to use my purse to unscrew the bolt.... score one for me

Glad you got things straight with your oil change. Now go do some Richard Simmons videos so your next one will be easier
He is OK....
I saw a guy on another forum that said he used a 900 ft lb impact wrench, that was set to tighten, on the 'check' plug on his differential driving it all the way in where it fell inside the diff.

My Napa Autoparts(forget brand) floorjack's handle fits PERFECTLY around my 3/8th's drive socket! It was a 2 for 1 buy, jack and breaker bar. Though if its too tough it will probably break my socket.....
