Wideband problems
Wideband problems
So here is the story. . .2 weeks ago my Wideband sensor wen't bad and was stuck on a 14.8 rating. So I go on and order a new sensor, have it shipped and put it in. Well it was working perfect for about a week and now for some reason it is broke again. It calibrates and stops on - - - on the lean side (like it is supposed to) then I turn the car on and nothing. . .It just sits there on - - - and gives me no AFR reading. I called AEM and they told me to take the sensor out of the bung, turn the key on to accessory and let it sit for about a minute to let it warm up. Then spray brake cleaner on a rag and cover the top of the sensor. If it goes rich then I have other issues but if it stay where it is then it is a bad sensor. Still using 93 at the pump so I don't know.
Any other ideas fellas?

Mine is back past my downpipe mounted at a 4 oclock position. . .But my other sensor worked for 1 1/2 years. This one every now and again will look like it is trying to or going to give me a reading but then goes right back to - - -. Grrrrr.
Mounting the O2 that low made condensation ruin the sensor. Plug that bung and get a new one installed in between 10-1 o'clock.
Yeah So yesterday i'm at work and had to take a short drive and guess what...My wideband decides to start working. The AFR's were off a little bit but after working for a while they seem to be right on. Guess i'll give it a week or so before I buy a new one. This seems to be an electrical problem so maybe it worked itself out.
