i have taken mine as high as 7800 at the track... but i dont do it very often... i safely or i should say have safely rev'd to 7300 so far pretty continually since the 35 install
so why is it that many shops recommend to go with hks? from what i have seen, they are more peaky, and the cosworths hold more of the power to redline... Is it cause they are easier to tune? "better for daily driving?"
HKS are well known and familiar. With the Cosworth M2's (at least on the 8), Cosworth recommends degreeing the cams, which takes more effort and is more expensive for someone not installing it themselves. Cosworth certainly have more lift, which means they should make more. Through the grapevine, I've heard the M2's make decent gains over the HKS 280's. I think TTP's experiences coroborate this, from what I know.
Cosworth 272 M2's do not require valvetrain upgrade under 8000rpms. We have tested them on many cars. 11.7-11.9's in the 1.4 mi on 93 octane and TTP Engineering reflash.
I would pass on the HKS. No one uses them, lift is relatively low. More power can be extracted using Cosworth M2's.
We have COSWORTH units in stock ready to ship same day as order and at the best pricing available.

I think its because you bought so many cosworth cams and trying to corner the market??
haha we sell both and have tuned both on EVO 8s and 9s.
And we still think it is better to upgrade the valvetrain when go with cossie cams

Margin of safety is something you can't overlook if you want more power.
