Cosworth Vs. HKS

I am going to be adding a set of 272 camshafts to my evo IX MR. I have narrowed it down to either Cosworth or HKS. What does the forum recommend and I am concerned with the reliability and performance.

I appreciate everyones help.

you can't go wrong with both..

For street, I prefer the HKS 264s

for track, either HKS 272s or Cosworth 272s. But you need to upgrade the valvetrain when go with Cosworth 272s.

Cosworth 272 M2's do not require valvetrain upgrade under 8000rpms. We have tested them on many cars. 11.7-11.9's in the 1.4 mi on 93 octane and TTP Engineering reflash.

I would pass on the HKS. No one uses them, lift is relatively low. More power can be extracted using Cosworth M2's.

We have COSWORTH units in stock ready to ship same day as order and at the best pricing available.

Cosworth have an 11mm lift where as HKS is a 10.8.

HKS simply used the Evo 8 exhaust cam and converted the intake to handle the MIVEC on the evo9.

On my dyno HKS always underperform vs Cosworth. Which you choose is up to you.

Cosworth lift is 11mm on both intake/exhaust.

HKS is 10.8/10.2.

Very happy with my Cosworth M2s Great power and it doesnt idle rugh at all. I dont have upgraded valvetrain and I dont need to rev high because the power is down low. 373hp on 93oct does the talking for power output.
