Ah, not it makes sense. So you both were in each other's blind spots, and you both failed to allow enough time before lane change. I would never change lanes that close to a pillar (meaning if I was either you or him) and it does make sense that he was probably speeding or at least had a poor speed / distance perception. Couple this with you turning in to his lane at the same time meant that it was bound to happen.

Sorry about your loss, and I hope your premium doesn't go up too much. At least you can save some money with the repairs. I know the stock headlights are over $1200 each, and there was a guy on here selling stock Evo 9 HID's for $500 for the pair. Also, the stock FMIC is something like $900 from the dealership, while an ETC one is closer to $500 shipped. Use this as a chance to do some good mods to your car and also put some cash in your pocket.

Also, and this goes to everyone, remember to always look over your shoulder and signal BEFORE you make a lane change.

I'll be able to provide you with some used stock IC piping (with all couplers and clamps) if you want in a week or so.

Sorry about the loss, but what i would suggest to everyone is to get a Broadway mirror, i mean they are kind of big but you basically don't have any blind spots with it. I think they cost like 15$ or something but definitely worth it.
