i was WOT and my friend was behind me n told me that i had a flame come out the back and then for a good 100feet said i had sparks come out afterwards.

was wondering if its bad or anything.
wondering if it could be just cuz my stock injectors are maxed out on my tune.
or if it could be because i have a 3rd gear misfire.

friend said i might be hurting my o2 or my exhaust packet. anyone have an idea?

I had a 95 MR-2 Turbo and it was all worked up but this was before the tuning days of today.

In summary, my lean condition melted my cat and it ended up shooting out of the exhaust in pieces.

 

At the track Ive seen alot of catless evos shoot flames at WOT The richer the car is this will happen

 

dont forget about timing, if you retard the timing way to much same thing will happen.

 

My car does it too, from being catless, only during shifts though

 

do you use dynoflash?

 

im catless. im running a turbo-back n have other mods as well.

i have the stock ecu reflashed.


yeah i thought it might be the exhaust packing but duno if the sparking is bad or hurts the exhaust/power in the long run.

 

nah it just looks sweet. just make sure ur not running to rich. u have a wideband?

 

I have seen flames come out after WOT and then deceling but not on WOT alone.
