Question Whining noise while turning....

Jumped in the car to run across town tonight.
I was on the highway and taking a slight right turn at about 60mph. I started hearing this whining noise. the road straightened up and the noise stopped. Went into a left turn, and nothing. Went back to a right one and the noise started again. ....I'm thinking maybe a passenger side wheel bearing. If so, how much are they. I may as well get a driver's side also. Please input and thoughts are welcome. Oh by the way, the car is used and has 65k miles on it so far. I owned it for 5k miles so far.

Before you change your wheel bearings check your power steering fluid level first

My car is an 04, I'm second owner, and I just heard the noise for the first time tonight. I have 65k miles.

...I'm pretty sure I know what it is now.

I hope this will help out someone else too.

most likely not power steering due to the speed. he was goin 60 and making a slight turn. The power assisted steering is barely doin n e thing at these speeds. if it was power steering u would hear it during parking lot manuvers. jack up right side of vehicle, put on hand on top of tire and one on bottom and shake and feel for play. u prob need a wheel bearing
