Question about instrument panel

I just finished my retrofitting of the stock fog light switch into my ix gsr. I was wondering if there is a wire i can tap into behind the instrument cluster that will light up the fog light indicator or if there is a wire behind the steering wheel or dash i could get to easier. If anyone has a pictures of the back of the cluster or if they could point it out that would be great. Thanks

Mine has a Stock fog light indicator on the panel. It is blue and on oposite side as the Green head light indicator.

Fog light is the inner most light on your head lights. Mine has 3 outside is HID, Middle is Hight Beam, Inside is Fog light.

Well, uh, back on topic. Anyone know if its as simple as gounding a wire or applying voltage to get the indicator light to work? One member here replaced the whole front harness and got it all to work but im looking in to more of a simple and cheap approach that isnt as permanant.

for a non-permanant fix you can go to your local auto store and pick up an (add a fuse), http://www.tessco.com/products/displ....do?sku=469004
you will need a volt meter and then you can poke and prod around your fuse box under your dash until you find a switched 12 volt power supply(switched meaning it switches on and off with your key in and out of the ignition. as for a ground try the frame behind your dash, or you could go all the way to the negative terminal on your battery

Thanks, but I can get switched power to the fogs fine but what im asking is activating the fog light "on" indicator in the cluster when I hit the fog switch. I'll sift through the wiring diagram some more. Oh and xexitenglishx, sorry for jumping on your thread bro but I think were both chasing the same rabbit
AFAIK:
03' 04' "GSR" = HID/FOG
05' 06' "GSR" =Crappy headlights=NO HID/NO FOG
all SE's = HID/FOG
all SSL's =HID/FOG
all MR's = HID/FOG
all RS's =Crappy headlights=NO HID/NO FOG

are u sure? I'm almost positive that for the gsr trim hids were an option, not standard equipment.

The VIII GSR came with HIDs standard, but that was dropped for the IX. Only the MR, SE and SSL IXs had HIDs and foglights.

Bringing this up from the dead. Any shared info on how you did your fog light switch retrofit?
