okay....
my evo IX is making weird noise when it reachs 140mph
it's a weird wiggling sound from the front wheels...or from a intake.
I'm not so sure,, but it freaked me out because I thought left wheel was going pop out when I reached 140mph.
does anyone know what's going on?

3" TBE

Ic. Hehehehe. Just try to check if all the lugs nuts are tight... Thats wierd..

 

at 140 mph, wind speeds are capable of peeling things off your car. I wouldn't be too worried and I wouldn't even drive that fast again.

 

When I get up around 140 I here this weird noise too, it sounds like the tire is rubbing or something at first but it was really just the wind noise between my mirror and the car. I thought it was the wheels/ tires at first too so maybe its just that, I heard this is a pretty common sound

 

Doesnt our cars "undress" at high speeds? Basically all the air entering from the front bumper ducts push the wheel well against the front tires.

Check to see if there is any rubbing/wear marks.

 

I hit a 155mph on the track. There are way too many noises. I thought my window was going to break since June bugs were smashing into my window. Please just do it on the track, you will never know what will jump in front of you going that fast. It only takes a raccoon to kill you

 

Yeah, like others said, please doit on the track, just be safe
