Both good ideas, like a dumb *** back in my DSM days I got sprayed in the eyes full force with gas from a fuel line and have been gun shy about it since then. Oh well this time I am wearing goggles

I am going to the dealer to get a relay in about 2 hours and give that a shot if that does not do it I am going to run through the test you guys mentioned above.

Dapper Dan
I did check all the fuses and there good.

EvilBlueEvo8
I killed my battery from trying to start it so much but I have been jumping it since then to get it started. On my MAF GEN2 box it shows 12v so it looks like I am good on the power side.

thanks for the ideas guys.

Keep us updated! I'd sure like to read that you figured it out, and what it ends up being. Maby you could turn on EVOscan, and log you trying to start it, then you'd know if you're getting airflow signal to the ECU, and if its registering that its cranking over. And that would answer the question if RPM logs while your cranking. I have personally never tried to log during that time, but think it might work.

I went to the dealer and it was the wrong relay so I have to wait until Monday. But I did get out the volt meter tested the ignition harness’s, and the harness that goes to the fuel pump, all have power with the key in the on position.

So I pulled the fuel line on the top on the pump housing (that was pressurized when I installed my walbro pump) and no fuel, so no pressure. Re connected it cranked the car and took it off again, no fuel.

So if I get voltage at the harness at the pump housing that means the relay is working right?
I did not have time today to take out the fuel pump and hot wire it to see if it runs on straight 12v, so that first on my list in the morning.

Just for pre planning purposes lets say the pumps works on 12v, and I replace the relay and I still do not get pressure what else could it be?

The pump....

But you'll know that by hooking direct voltage to the pump

Pump is good, I just took it out and hooked 12v up to it direct it out comes fuel, I also put it back in the white plastic holder and tested 12v on that and it pumps.

Ok the car is still just cranking and not firing, also now I can hear the fuel pump priming.

So....
I am going to do some more testing with spark (zap the block while cranking) and disconnect the fuel line (from the rail) while cranking to see if I get pressure at the engine.

Also I am doing spark first then fuel test so no explosions
When I took my UICP pipe off there was some liquid in it, looked like water and meth so I am thinking before I un wired the meth kit it sprayed into the pipe somehow. I was thinking is it possible my spark plugs got wet from it sucking the water/meth in? I have not puled the plugs yet to check but that would cause it not to fire correct? I would go pull it right now but just found out my bro snagged my spark plug socket so its kind of guessing on that until later today.

Be back soon...

Hmm. Did you run it at all with the meth hooked up? Or did it just not start when you hooked up the meth, so you pulled it all out? Oh, and glad to hear that your pump is working! Thats one problem down.

It could be that you had the controller set WAY LOW, when you tested it, and it just started spraying when you tried to start the car and power was provided to the controller. Just a thought. And yes, if you have meth spraying when you're cranking it over, I would imagine that it could suppress spark enough to prevent the car from starting, But, after you removed it, it shouldn't have been wet for long, and wouldn't cause it to not start the next day. Definately when you take the plugs out, you'll be able to figure that aspect out.

Oh, and I wouldn't hold onto the plug/coil when you do the test. It would be best if you could prop it up, so that it rests in a position that you can visually see. Physically holding it would prove to be dangerous... IMO.

It has never started with the meth installed.

I pulled it into the bay the other day to start this install and that was the last time she started. So right now I am waiting for my bro to come over and crank the car for me while I watch for spark on the block.

I did find another spark plug socket and pulled the plugs, there good and dry.

Just a though, could you have possibly knocked the crank angle sensor loose? Because that woudl cut spark/fuel.

Victory is mine!!!

I got it running again; it was a combo of two things. One I understand the other I have no idea how it happened.

First I was staring at my battery and realized it was time for a new optima red top just because I was still running on my stocker for 2+ years.

Put the new battery in and cranked it, well it fired for just a sec and then nothing. hummm, went in drank a few bears and just for fun decide to remove the fuel line from the rail again and have my bro crank it... Some fuel but just dripping out. Ponder... ponder... ponder

Removed the fuel pump again and found something interesting, the rubber grommet on the little back plastic piece was flipped sideways blocking most of the fuel flow.
Removed it and reinstalled it the right way, put the pump back in and bam its running.

So it looks like the battery needed a replacement but I still do not get how that grommet flipped sideways???

Tomorrow I am going to re wire the meth kit in and clean up all my mess from taking the car apart to figure it all out. Then I get to tune my meth maps and start working on some other flash mods.

Thanks for all your help everyone!! esp steadly2004

GLAD TO HEAR IT WORKED OUT!

I'm very suprised the grommet was the culprit, but hey stuff happens when you're taking stuff apart and putting it all back together.
