What is next?

Ok I am doing a Mini Build to get me started for the track this summer. I am getting my wife ready to start the auto-x this year, and here is what I have planned so far, if you can tell me what I should get next, that would be great.

Already install prior to build:

3in TBE
megan o2 house
megan header
10.5 hotside
injen Intake/UICP
Blitz bov
Hallman MBC

planning to buy and install

INJEN Licp- purchased
Walbro Fuel Pump- Purchased
wideband/o2 setup- AEM UEGO
880cc Injector- Not sure yet if I need these
arp head/ main studs
280/280 BC Cams-

Am I missing anything from a basic mini build?

Someone said cams, but Im not sure I am ready for those....

get the Evo 9 metal diverter valve instead of the Blitz

if you need anything from ARP, you might consider the rod bolts over anything you have listed

get the wideband and get tuned...

then see where you stand. You'll have saved almost enough money to afford cams by not buying things you don't need, and selling that BOV

+1 on cams

HKS 264s sound conservative enough for a VIII.

Well 264s don't make TONs of power, they are great for low-end to mid range of power. 272s are more mid-range to top-end. I heard Auto-X so I mentioned the one that would be more useful for that purpose. My buddy had HKS 264s. Along with basic bolt-ons, made 352 WHP on a Dynojet. I could get the graphs if you like. Personally, I'm more of a Cosworth fan because they make power everywhere, but probably not the best for Auto-X.

I think some 272s would be great since you won't have to upgrade valves and springs for them. I didn't see test pipe in your mod list. This would be fine for you since you will be running on a track.
Throw on a good dyno tune and you will be happy. You probably won't need the injectors just yet, but down the road you will if you plan to go big turbo. After all of that, you could probably see another good 40 more WHP with a meth kit. Don't get a cheap one!

SCCA won't let you use meth while autox'ing, so forget that. Dont forget the BOV also changes your class. As will cams. And the 10.5...unless you and the wifey are fine running SM, then you can have all that stuff while still being legal. You shouldn't need injectors at that level of power, unless you plan on running E85. Go ahead and research cams and get them, they're the "demon tweak" on the EVO, the one part that really opens up power. You have a lot of choices, for all power levels, turbo size, inteded application and price.

she's already out of stock class by far lol and STU is bye-bye with the mods you already have. unfortunately, you're pretty much stuck in street mod, which is a very competitive class, but the whole point is to go out, gain experience, become a better driver and HAVE FUN! she can do that in ANY class

Uh, you will be in the HIGHEST class with cams. In the lowest class, you can't do any of those mods.

honestly it doesnt really matter what class she runs. she will be on the track running alone, so there is no direct competition like running a road course with other cars. stock class can be stupid competitive anyways, a lot of the best driver head for stock class cause it really tests the drivers skill. STU has become hard to run too....really, there is no "beginner" or easy class. best advice is to just sign up for one of the drivers schools that the region does, get some wheel time and have fun! thats what its all about anyways
