I believe Touge Factory could hook you up with extended lugs and spacers if you need em. Thats where I got mine from.

i'm looking into fabbing my own intake pipe, but have been debating on which size to go with. Would 4" pipe be overkill on how much a BBK full can actually intake or should I stick with the norm 3"?

My Evo makes well over 400 wtq/whp (uncorrected figures) on a CBRD BBK full with a very simple/relatively inexpensive intake system:

$39 MAP cone filter/MAF adapter plate: http://www.maperformance.com/vibrant...apter-evo.html

+

$130 Samco silicone intake pipe: http://www.lancershop.com/customer/p...?productid=877

However, FP claims you'll get less surge/part-throttle bucking and a little more power with this 84mm (3.3") inlet surge cover from FP for the BBK ($200), which requires their matching inlet pipe ($110) or that you fab something up yourself that matches it:

Awesome thread haven't read it all but I will eventually. This is the type of thread that even if you've never work on a car before you'd be able to no problem, very easy to understand.

EBC options

This may be the wrong thread for this but I would like to learn about EBCs in a possibly less hostile environment. I had juust found agreat deal on here for a blitz id3 but I was wondering how that system would differ from say one of the 3 port solenoid ebcs. It seems that the 3ports that I had seen being voted on in another forum use the stock ecu connection and I guess the tune would iron the rest of the boost control out. what would be the advantage to the id3 other than a fancy boost display. (I assume the tuning of a 3 port solenoid would simulate the prgressive controller in the id3) Will the id3 give an option to run at a lower boost rate with the touch of a button. (or is that a more practical/typical adjustment for a stand alone ECU) I say the Blitz id-3 but there seem to be a few other similar options (Greddy, ect) (just to not show any or bias) I just want to undeerstand the differences in functionality.

I can't really tell you anything about the Blitz id-3, but you can adjust boost easily with the EBCS by simply setting up map switching. Seems like most people do it to have a 93 octane map and an E-85 map, but you could, for example, easily have a high and a low boost map for 93 octane. Not necessarily settable on the fly, but still adjustable if you feel the need to reduce boost levels quickly.

Thats awesome info. Thanks gg06. I am leaning toward that option more and more. Its only like 100$ for the three port solenoids unlike the others but im still curious. Anyone know anything about the functionality of the other style?

Here's a few links that I recommend you review about ECU controlled boost......
