Evo VII on e-bay, anyone know about this car?

I am looking to buy 2003 EVO VII from e-bay.
Seems like a descent car.
HTML Code:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Mitsubishi-EVO-VIII-Highly-Modified-AEM-Volk-Cusco-JDM_W0QQitemZ330220644771QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item330220644771#
Any one know this car? This guy who sells it?
Want to make sure engine/suspension is in good condition and seller is real.
Seems to me more like a show car than been hard raced.

Any advice will be appreciated.

That car has alot of money in it if you could get it for mid 20s youd be in great shape.

I would rather buy a car modded to that level then some kids with a boost controler and a TBE

I modded my-self my WRX, but my buddy in Russia like his car too much (again with all these mods...) I have the same thoughts "...loooks clean but i would never by a car that modded..." but hey I told him.
Not my money anyway.
That is why I trying to pickup your knowledge guys about this car.
I am kind of sceptical about this statement:
"The owner before me was an older gentlemen that sold pharmaceutical equipment and used it to commute to and from work in Phoenix and the vehicle has never seen the track or the dragstrip by either owner. "
What kind of old gentleman would buy EVO with it's super short steering

I agree with gsrboi80,
I would rather buy a higher modded but nicely built car over a car with a TBE and MBC. At least you know that some care went into the build. I would bet the typical evo with a MBC and exhaust has probably been ran beyond it's capabilities.

i have to agree with that one too. most cars in mags arent really run that hard compared to your normal everyday driven street car.

If I didn't own one, I would probably have placed a bid on it. I remember when that Evo made it to one of the magazines. I don't believe I owned one at the time but thought it would be a nice car to have and liked his set up. Mid 20's, not bad.

Oh and I agree, I'd buy this car instead of a car with a MBC and TBE. Oh, and here's one, what about a car with a MBC, TBE and NO BOOST GAUGE! I've seen that too.
