car boost problem
Hey guys I have a 05 grs minor mods (dp, tbe) nothing major. The weird thing is in the morning my car wont boost past 12psi until is warm up. Once is warmed up then it goes to its normal 21 22psi. Is this regular for an evo?
You shouldn't be boosting 'til it warms up anyways as you'll just be creating premature wear on your cylinder walls. Our motors were built with room for heat expansion. You CAN drive it immediately after you turn it on but DO NOT rev past 3K and stay out of boost until it reaches operating temp.
what?....rele?....never ever heard of that on any evo ive worked on...ever.....thats really weird...that has to be the turbo...only thing i can say make sure your running super or premium gas , not to much help sry man lol.
who f-ing rips on a cold motor? dont be that guy - let the car get up to temp before you go beating on it.
No, sounds like you have a leak. Make a boost leak tester. You can find out how from the HOW TO's section.

Yes CBR is right If you car is cold generally under the halfway mark on the temp guage the cars ECU will limit the amount of boost until the car is at that point. If you have a boost controller it is up to you to be smart about trying to boost your car when its cold. But dont worry it is a normal thing so take a BREATH AHHHH! lol
