What changes for 2004?

What changes do you all think the '04 Evo will have, if any? I think it would make obvious sense for them to add AYC/ACD to it (even if its just an option), since Subaru has the DCCD system on their '04 STi. The only problem with this of course, is that current Evo owners might get angry at such a huge change.

Also...when do you think the '04 Evos will come out? Usually 04's come out in the middle of the previous year...but the '03 Evo came out so late they would probably have to wait a bit...

What do you guys think?

Yeah,
1. ACD yes, AYC too much maintance for us
2. Front LSD.
3. GSR's semi auto climate with 2 dins optional.
4. At least 305hp perhaps 2.3L

That's what i think anyways. But i also though ACD will be provided on my current evo but Mitsubishi didn't think that was important factor in sales and didn't care about the comments by the media like "stripped, watered" and so forth.

Thanks to STi we are going to get RAlliArt support so we could close the gap on horspower war against subaru If i have to sell my car i have to sell my car. But remember the #1 people on the list are your most loyal customers and pissing them off is not a good idea So please offer ralliart support right before subaur's release.

Has Mitsubishi ever changed the trim or performance appointments in the Evo and not changed the number designation? I don't think they have.

If that is true, I wouldn't expect any changes to the car at all until the Evo IX appears....

I don't see the point of adding new features a year AFTER its released. Its not cost-efficient to do so in my opinion. Besides, who cares if it doesn't have ACD, AYC, and a 6spd. Enjoy the car for what it is!

For all you know your car could have them right now (not saying it does of course), but you're probably not gonna be able to tell a difference. Unless of course you drive your car like you're on a racetrack every day

OK, the least the could do is move the LSD to the front, ACD in the back and up the Hp a bit. It would be great to have the 6 speed, but one could always import that from japan.

I dont think there going to make any changes for the 2004 and 2005 models, I think once they develop the Evolution for 2006 then they will start to put electronic differentials, bigger horsepower numbers, etc.. etc...

Remember, A fair amount of R & D has to go into the product before they hit the market place.

Myabe he is reffering to the Evolution RS? It may be a rumour, but I've read about it in a few places (and we all know that makes it true on the internet ). Something like 330, ACD/AYC, 6spd, but no amenities like pwr locks, windows, stereo, etc.

Anyone have any solid info on this trim level in the US?

Isn't this the same guy last year that said "he knew and trust him" that that mysterious button was the ACD for the USDM 8??

EVO SPECIALIST has been saying for a while now that next year the Evo will get performance upgrades. I wouldn't be so quick to call BS on him. Though I'm not saying that I believe him...
