What do you care where the cop is, you'll slow down anyway.. Or do you speed up when he's in the back or take a left if he's on the right???!!! Seriously - arrows=marketing.
sometimes i actually do speed up when the arrow shows that its behind me, as long as the signal isnt too strong. but when i notice that the signal continues to get stronger, i realize that the cop is going faster than i am...and i finally slow down

I got the passport SRX. I use to have the X50, but I use to felt paronoid that the cops were paying more attn to me when they see my radar on the windshield, especially when i pull along side them at a light. So far I have no problems with the srx and I didnt with the x50 niether, they saved me a bunch of time.

Windshield mount, just clearing the wipers. Maybe you need a firmware update.

Agreed...goes along with what I was saying about using common sense. Who speeds all around the city anyways? That's just asking for a cop to profile you. I save my speed for the highway where almost any signal is a cop and I can react accordingly.

If you don't have them you will never understand. As far as radars are concerned, V1 FTMFW

But something tells me you wouldn't tell me that.
Realistically, (regardless of detector) 90 in a 65 would require instantly hitting the brake for any real source of radar...

Without knowing the source of radar: With the RX65 I would typically brake for every strong Ka alert. With the V1 and the features it has, I now let off the gas (as you assumed) and quickly assess the situation. If the signal comes from the side, I would probably get back on the gas. But the difference is that now I don't have to instantly get on the brake.

As I stated before, the V1 has features not everyone will appreciate, and they are NOT features you will use for every encounter. Every once in a while with the RX65 I was frustrated over not knowing the direction of the radar. I would get an intermittent signal while cruising on the highway... every 30-90 seconds... "where/what the heck is that!!" For me it boiled down to an extra $80 I didn't mind spending over the cost of the 8500/RX65. I figured I would try it after owning the RX65.

I never meant to imply you were wrong, but wanted to emphasize that you should try it before calling it BS.

No need to be naysayer because you're on the V1 bandwagon. I have no need for arrows, and I've done just fine in my 16+ years of driving.

A typical response from a V1 bandwagoner....I've heard that about a great many things in life and most of the time there is nothing to understand.

v1 for the win, oh and you can desactivate, the x band, my brother gave to some guy that did it. He has one too and also deactivated the k band since they dont use those in pr. He doesnt believe me that cops still use the k band in the US.
