Radar\Laser Jammer

Just wondering what type of detectors you guys are running and if anyone has a jammer and how well it works. I plan on getting one soon and need help deciding what to get, i was thinking about getting a Escort Passport 8500 X50 and linking it with a ZR3 Shifter to take care of the jamming :]

I've had the Blinder M20 Xtreme for a year and haven't been hit by laser once.

The Blinder is the top rated one that I know of.

I have a Belltronics RX65 (no tickets) and a Whistler Pro 58 (1 ticket, POP). The Pro 58 is a good detector for the sub $100 price tag. The 1 ticket was probably unavoidable. I was alone on a long stretch of road and he was hidden pretty well and POP.. that was it. The verdict is still out on the RX65, it doesnt seem to be as sensitive as the Whistler (believe it or not) or it just filters out much more.. It's a bit disconcerting as I was used to the Whistler and the RX65 is too quiet. The local cops around hereuse Ka and both of them pick that up well.

I have a 8500 x50 and my friend got a V1 I would go with the V1. IMO the x50 picks up K band better but the V1 picks up KA band better and around here cops like using KA more.

I have a V1 and a 8500 x50 -- both are great detectors. I use the 8500 in the city because it's quieter and the V1 in more rural areas. The V1 is extremely sensitive - and that's a good thing. Together, they've saved me dozens of times.

v1 is where its at end of story. Do not waste you're money on a lower quality detector, its much worth it to splurge for the extra money and get a great product.

And is this statement a product of personal comparison testing between the V1, X50, and other detectors finding the V1 to be superior to the others you tested? Or is this a personal opinion forged because the V1 is the radar detector you purchased and of course refuse to believe there is another detector that is as good as the one you spent your money on? As a fellow owner of a radar detector I would much like to see any data you have collected supporting the V1 to be the the higher quality product.
