hey guys, im having an issue with my 03 evo viii.....all of the sudden today when i started my car it sounded like my fuel pump was buzzing but im not sure what it is...it wont stop. the car runs the same but the buzzing sounds makes me wonder. Has this happend to anyone or does anyone know what it can be or how to fix it? please let me know asap! thanks -mike

 

the fuel pump does make noise. mine is crazy loud but i have a walbro. i cant remember how loud the stock pump is.

 

oo well its weird cuz it never made this sound before today...i went to sunco cuz my gas light was on and i put in a full tank of 93 then about 5 miles or so down the road it just started doing it..i cant figure it out

 

yeah that is weird....i just know the noises are normal. maybe its time for a new fuel pump. walbro's are inexpensive anyway....

 

my guess would be dying fuel pump. I had the same situation in an old car of mine.

 

Yep sounds like a dying fuel pump, walbros are only like $100, good deal IMO
