Warranty on IX

Asking here since no one is answering me in the warranty thread. I need to know the warranty specifics for a 2006 Evo 9 RS. I bought the car used off of the orginal owner with 12k on it, making me the second owner. Car is stock and has a clear title.

thanks

nice congrats with teh new ride I'm in the same boat as I picked up a evo too. From what i was told, the 5yr/60k transfers to us but the powertrain doesn't, only for original owner.

Evos dont have warrantys

But for real you get the subsequent owner warranty. On a IX its 3yr/36kmile Bumper to Bumper and 5yr/60kmile Powertrain. This holds for 04-07 VIII's and IX's

The original owner gets the 10yr/100kmile

^ Above is true, but if you get with your warranty company you can buy an extended warranty to take you up to 10 year 100k power train. I did and I have used the hell out of it, front dif replaced twice and T/C!

Thanks, I wanted to makre sure since my friend thought it was 3yr/30k for sure. Though nothing is wrong with the car whatsoever but I rather have a 5yr/60kmile Powertrain warranty than bumper to bumper!

I think you basically sign a contract to not have a warranty once you drive off the dealer lot.

you have a 5yr/60k bumper to bumper warranty which also covers the powertrain...

the statement about the 10/100 on applying to the orig. owner is correct.
