Dislikes about your EVO?

Boost guage is not needed ina factory car. why?
Boost is handle by the ecu and the engine setup is engineered to make a certain amont of boost.
since they dont want you modding the engine. They are not gonna provide a tool such as a boost guage to help you raise boost.
Its provided in the srt4 but lets face it. Its a neon, its needs that extar for selling point.

1. Driver seat is falling apart (cloth is comming un-done from the seat on the bot. left as well as the back.
2. NO LUMBAR AJDUSTMENT!! My back hurts when I make any trip over 20 min!
3. No cruise control!?! WTF? I would give up my water sprayer for this! I would at least get more use of the cruise control, plus I would be able to feel it working/making a difference.
4. Tranny feels like it was made out of glass! Plus revs too high while in 5th gear crusing on the HW (4K) Should have been 6speed!
I mean I could see 5th gear rev-ing at 4K if the car was actually fast in that gear, but when ever I shift to 5th in a race everyone pulls away (STi especially!!)

1. I gotta admit, I heard complaints about this in Mitsu, and Hyundai and even Lexus.
It either hit or miss, or you it a probably with you personally. Its not a truck were you can have tools in your pokcet and get in and out. And well lets face it. being over weight does not help.
2. yes lumbar support would be nice. But even thou its a sedan. Its not sold as a luxury sedan, its sold as a performance car, more or less rally car.
3. Well, being a perfromance car, cruise control is not high on the list, but being US has long boring straight highways . I figured they woulda added it.
4. I dont know how YOU decide if a tranny feels like glass or not. Feels fine to me. It also could be the inferior fluid mitsu uses. try redline mt90 is makes a world of difference.
when I buy cars I drive them home an add it.
I do agree fifth is high.
but once again...its keeps your in the power band and give syou that sport feeling.
I wonder if an aftermarket gear from for a GSX woudl fit in the evo. They do make them.
But you realy cant compare an GSX and EVO, like so many people do. They do not have much in common.
The engine and awd are similar but also very different.
I am sure alot of ppl see the the Evo lancer as the GSX awd and engine in a coupe. Buts it not.
You want a comfy car, you should look at a galant vr4. Thats mitus version of luxury/performance sedan.
Evo lancer is just a performance sedan.

These are cool. But I can not justify $1K for gauges. I am not good enough to tune my car myself so I'll wait for some good tuners to firure out the ECU and ask them to do the job. In this case I will not a gauge except for entertainment value.

Wouldn't the 2.0STi be lighter as well. Imagine if they left off the DCCD how much weight that would save.
If they had brought the 2.0STi, I imagine the STi would have been more cost copmartive to the Evo and might have outhandle it being lighter. Maybe Subaru will get a few ideas and offer some options on the STi lineup for 2005. I don't think the STi sales are even what the Evo sales are right now.
