1. Very cheap carpet and floormats.

2. Paint is not the quality I expected from factory.

3. Ummmm...dunno

I will tell you I like the interior...its a "this is business" approach to sports cars I think. Just enough to get it done with no frills. Besides, the AC button is right in front of the shifter. Who can ask for more?

Abusive wombat you couldnt have said it better with the tranny... the CLUNK with low speed 1-2 is horrible....and the clutch was definately too weak for the power....dash/guages/floormats, they shouldve spent a few extra dollars on this but no big deal... mainly the car is a beast and i love my baby but the clunk 1-2 and weak stock clutch is my major thing....spending 1500$ for a clutch within 3months of purchase sucks! hey also i forgot who it was but someone posted we have no blue tint on our front windshield because our windshield is special... what is special about it?

Karash : are your floormats tearing up real badly esp where your clutch heel would be... mine started at like 5k which in my oponion is just wrong for a 30k car!

1) wish my had stronger internals..especially the pistons.
2) fender well need to be a little larger...215/17 are still a little narrow for my tastes.
3) Brembo, Brembo, Brembo

PS. Keep in mind I have a IV.

No real complaints yet, except the floor mat slides around too much...and it needs a downpipe/exhaust to open up the top end power.

No shifting problems here, and I run it extremely hard.

Why would you want it to be a Honda? It'd just be slow and have no torque

AvatarOfWar - Honda does cheap interiors well. I had a 96' Accord LX and the fan/ac controls, floor mats, dash, instrument cluster, etc where really nice for a 16K car. I think we all realize the Evo isn't the same type of car as the Honda, but what if the Evo had Honda interior with Evo exterior - minus the crap paint, that would just be so cool. I also think most of us would have paid the extra $1000 to this type of stuff right.

- interior (except seats, and wheel)
- stock stereo
- Altezzas (already replaced with JDMs)
- A/C robs power on hot days (my clutch seems heavier with A/C blasting as well... )

people comparing this car to RSX is stupid. RSX is a nice sport coupe. THe Evo, despite the 4 doors and a trunk, is a hardcore sports car. It shifts the way a sports car should, not like a Honda. The shifting feel is comparable to the Porsches I've driven or an M3.... no, not silky smooth like a Honda... it shouldn;t be. It should "snick-snick-snick" between gears. I see a lot of comments from people complaining and comparing this car ot other import sedans... ITS NOT. Forget the fact it is an import and is a sedan... because it really is a performance car in in the same vein as porsches, the M cars and ..?. Yeah, its not as nice as those cars.. you pay for that refinement, but it is at a similar level performance wise. I coulda bought an M3 or a used 993C4. Didn't. Chose the Evo instead, because it does what I want it to better than those cars. Not as pretty, and no leather (I like leather)... but stop comparing the poor thing to cars like the RSX.

and I like the interior also. its all business. whatneeds to be there is there... though I do like leather seats (I know, cloth is better for hardcore driving)! I have had several people comment that they liked the interior... it is "serious", much like the front end of the car.

The paint's pretty bad, but come on!!!! If you are that worried about it, put another grand into it and get some more clear coat or something. I plan to repaint it later, but more for cosmetics than for better quality.

Any of you that want to sell your Evo to me because it sucks so bad, let me know. I need another one for the winter...

Rear wing in manual says that it could be adjustable? Mine doesn't appear to be...
