storing evo for winter

hey, i broke my leg and i will not be abled to drive for a few months. I also dont drive my evo over winter so i am going to put it away until spring. I have a 3/4 tank of gas and i dont know if i should put stabilizer in or if i should let it idle but i do not know if that is bad for it.

You can just drain the tank. There are bolts on the bottom of the tank. Just take out the bolt and drain it into some kind of a pan. Then you can use it in another car and not have to worry about it going bad. Its a 12mm black bolts thats under the rear seats, one on each side of the car.

for every car is the best thing to get them out let say every second week and drive them at least 30 minutes.
That is a best way to put them a side for long time. There is so many gaskets parts etc. So i think this is the easiest way,

Don't forget a trickle-charge for the battery.

I let my lancer and my eclipse sit in a storage garage every winter for around 4 months. I don't even use stabil anymore. Just unplug the battery, check the air in the tires, and that's it. Put it in storage with a dirt or gravel floor (cement can form condensation and promote rust), cover it, and come back when it thaws. Starts just fine and I haven't had a problem.

I have done this with my eclipse for 8 years and my lancer for 2.

...Don't drain your tank fully! Leave enough gas in the tank for start-ups and in case of an emergency, the car will have to be moved!! Also, let a friend/relative take her around the block on a regular basis. Do an oil chane possibly...Good luck! Sorry to hear about your leg!! Keep the battery on trickle charge!!!
