i store her every winter. i get 1/3 tank left in the car put fuel stablizer in, cover her about, and once every 2 weeks i start her up and let her idle for about 15 mins then shut her down. Never had any problems been doing it for 3 years in a row this will be my fourth.

does it really make a difference if you unplug the battery for storage?

battery comes out and goes in my room. OIl and all that stuff gets changed. She gets a nice coat of wax, and stablizer in the fuel, and she gets parked and covered from xmas til mid/end of march.

Just have someone start it up for you once in a while and it should be good. You should also think about having someone drive it around the block so you wont get flat spots on your tires. I had a cover made for mine and had my mom start it up once a week. (I was deployed for 15 months)
