my boy has a IX and he starts his car with remote start. maybe it was disabled. but i thought it was illegal to be able to start the car with out the clutch in. cause some people have left it in gear and the car jerks forward

i can right now, I think....but not sure, all you do is unplug that sensor by the which the clutch pedal pushes down. Correct me if im wrong though, Ive always been able to start it w/o pushing it in and my sensor has always been unplugged.

and to answer the clutch pedal start thing. any manual transmission car has a sensor on the clutch pedal that tells the car if it is in all the way or not. simply so you dont start the car while it is in gear, this is bad for many obvious reasons. in our case, if u unplug the sensor you can start the car without the clutch being depressed. this works in other cars as well but in some states may be illegal because the whole thing about remote starters...

edit: however this sensor does not come into play at all when using the launch control. you can do it in neutral is what i mean
